"Gunterbelly" - A Tale of Two Sinners a raw and uncut story of David and Tina Gunter and their journeys from drugs, prisons and high speed chases to some of Australia's most recognised youth mentors. Inspired to speak out against the glorification of the underworld after the hit television show "Underbelly" aired, the pair now draw on their own life experiences to portray the not so glamorous side of the underworld. Dave, a high school drop-out who struggled with dyslexia climbed from night club bouncer to corporate fraud squad investigator. Dave quit his dream job to work as a custodial officer in the prison's after seeing a 15 year old youth charged with double rape and triple murder on the evening news. It was here inside the prison that Dave got to meet this young man and begin his life work of inspiring young people to live there best life. Tina's journey took her from Heroin to Heroine as she left a life of drug dealing and crime to not only clean up her own life but inspire other young people do the same. For these seven years of work Tina was inducted into the International Women's Day Hall of Fame. Today David and Tina take their message to thousands of young people across Australia inspiring young people to live their best life. |
